We offer services in the areas of accounting, tax, management consulting, business acquisitions and sales, and personal financial planning.   It is our philosophy to be unique by providing the broad range of service and in-depth experience our clients expect; and, at the same time, retain the personal service and responsiveness which has contributed to our growth.

As members of the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Stangel Accounting and Tax Office, S.C. adheres to those standards of quality which are required for membership.   Continuing education for staff, staff evaluations, quality control programs, client acceptance standards, and quality and accuracy of the work are a few of the areas which are part of this peer review.

Vicki Stangel, CPA is the founding owner of Stangel Accounting and Tax Office, S.C.  Her areas of emphasis are estate planning, financial planning and tax planning.  Vicki graduated from St. Norbert College in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting.   After two years in private accounting Vicki entered public accounting.   In 1980 she was licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Wisconsin and has operated her own accounting firm since 1981.

Michael Ray, a staff accountant, has been in public accounting since January 1997 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting.   Mike’s areas of emphasis are bookkeeping and payroll services, along with individual and corporate tax return preparation.

 

Tara DuBois, CPA is a staff accountant and has been with the firm since February 2006.  She has enjoyed her career in public accounting since her graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in May 2004.  Her areas of expertise are estates, trusts, individual and corporate tax.

Jeff Ladwig, CPA is a staff accountant, and his areas of emphasis are individual, corporate, and partnership taxation and financial statement services.   Jeff has been in public accounting since 1995.

Jeff is a Sturgeon Bay native and received undergraduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.   He was licensed to practice as a CPA in the State of Wisconsin in 1998.

Katy Pigeon, a staff accountant, joined the firm in the fall of 2008.  Katy is a native of the Brussels area and a 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.  Katy's areas of emphasis are bookkeeping services along with individual tax return preparation.

 

Jan Eisenmann is the firm's administrator and has been a part of a public accounting office since August 1998.    Jan handles front desk operations including preliminary client contact and appointment scheduling and oversees the assembly of financial statements and tax returns.   Jan also performs firm accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll duties.   She brings to the firm 25 years of experience in customer service and office management.

 

Brenda Fish is our Administrative Assistant / Receptionist.  She has over twenty-five years experience in customer service and office management.  Brenda is a Sturgeon Bay native that lives with her husband and two daughters.
